Weekend Match Guide

English Premier League
Blackburn Vs Chelsea- Ewood Park- ESPN2 10:00 AM Saturday

Chelsea should be looking forward to an easy week. Blackburn has not won an outing since this time last month against Stoke, and I would not be expecting it to change anytime this week. The title-holders will most likely walk over them.

Bold prediction: Malouda and Drogba both score.
2-0 Chelsea

Arsenal vs West Ham- Emirates Stadium- FSC 10:00AM Saturday

Arsenal should look forward to use their last two wins as a launching point to spearhead a title challenge against Chelsea. In a London Derby anything goes, I would expect this to be a tough match, but Arsenal are undefeated in their last five meetings, winning three of them. I see no reason to pick against the Gunners this week.

Bold Prediction: Fabregas sets up two goals, and Nasri lights the net for a seven goals in seven matches in the league.
3-0 Arsenal

Wolves vs Manchester City- Molineux Stadium- Fox Soccer Plus 10:00AM Saturday

Man City should look to bounce back from a disappointing loss due to an early red card against the Gunners. Wolves should not pose much of threat. With Carlos Tevez picking up a knock in the game against Arsenal, he may be a doubt, but David Silva is in tremendous form and should wreak havoc of the Wolves backline, known for giving up red cards.

Bold Prediction: Wolves picks up a red card and Man City bounce back with a win.
1-0 Man City

Manchester United vs Tottenham- Old Trafford- Fox Soccer Channel 12:30 PM Saturday

Easily my match of the week. The startup Spurs will be looking to prove themselves against tougher foes. You cannot rule anything out in this match, but I feel that Man U will hope to keep track with the other title contenders. It would not surprise me if both sides end up play for a draw if the score is still dead-locked through the hour mark. Both teams should play the game fairly positive, but the Red Devils will grab a late goal (SHOCKER).

Bold Prediction: Injury time winner sees Man U through.
3-2 Manchester United

Bolton Wanderers vs Liverpool- Reebok Stadium- Fox Soccer Channel 12:00 PM Sunday

Liverpool needs to build on their win against Blackburn last week to move out of the relegation zone. It should be a shaky match for both sides, but I think Liverpool will edge the Midlands team. Gerrard and Torres will need to be in top form to make this an easier match, but need to be wary of the threat Bolton posses.

Bold Prediction: Torres gets on the board for the second week in a row.
1-0 Liverpool

La Liga:
Hercules vs Real Madrid- 2:00 PM Gol TV Saturday

In La Liga, Real Madrid will stay atop the table with a win over scalp hunters Hercules. With Chilean Nelson Valdes, Juventus Alum David Trezeguet, and Real Loanee Royston Drenthe, Madrid should beware of this side. With wins against Sevilla and Barcelona, this side comes to play against top sides. I would expect Ronaldo and Ozil to have a big week. The Madrid squad are an overwhelming behemoth compared to the La Liga newboys.

Bold Prediction: Ozil with two assists, Higuin and Ronaldo get on the scoresheet.
2-1 Madrid

Barcelona vs  Sevilla- Camp Nou- 2:00 PM Saturday

Easily the La Liga match of the week. One title holder and one champions league hopeful will do battle at the Camp  Nou. Everything suggests that Barcelona’s laundry list of Ballon d’Or hopefuls will over power this Andulcia side. Having suffered two 4-0 losses to Barcelona in their last five matches, the Sevilla squad should have a tough time.

Bold Prediction: Messi grabs a brace
3-0 Barcelona

Serie A:
Milan vs Juventus- San Siro- 2:30 PM Fox Soccer Channel Saturday

The two stricken Serie A giants are set to face off in what could become a do or die match for both teams in the hunt for the league trophy. Juventus will be without serial diver Milos Krasic and will be relying heavily on an aging attacking unit and a shaky defense. Milan may boast Pirlo, Robinho, and Ibrahimovich, but it will not be enough to break the deadlock.

Bold Prediction: No one scores.
0-0 Draw
